I am actually not opposed to any form of electoral reform that (a) reflect the nature and composition of parliament and (b) does not have arbitrary party lists. I know that there are forms of PR that have local lists and STV which uses no lists. There is also ranked balloting. These are all well and good provided they also reflect the nature and composition of parliament in my opinion.

The purpose of this post isn't really to disregard electoral reform completely, but to highlight the importance of parliamentary reform hand-in-hand with electoral reform. I included my personal opinion that FPTP can work better if parliament was reformed back to a more traditional parliamentary democracy. That being said, a different formation in parliament would require a different electoral system.
